• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have a Mesa Mark 1 Reissue that I would like to modified it (mostly the Bass issue) I heard about your mod and would be interested to know more about it. Is that something that any good amp tech could do easily? also, I heard about a reverb mod, does it have to be done as well to correct the flabby bass or not. I want as little mod as possible, that's why I'm asking.

Thanks

I am attaching two sets of schematics: one reflects the way my amp arrived from the factory and the other has the mods I mentioned. These are 25 years old and I haven't had a Mark I since maybe 2001 or so. Use them at your own risk and I hope you'll understand if I am not really willing to email back and forth with a tech to discuss the mods -- I abandoned amp building 15 years ago.

My mods for the Mark IR addressed: a little too much bass, too much unusable gain in Input 1, lack of depth on the reverb, and lack of a bias adjustment. They’re easy to implement, the only thing is that the amp is built on a PCB and the traces are not all that robust, so one needs to be careful to not apply too much heat otherwise the traces may lift, which would require having to jump them.
Do you still have the '57 junior for sale? If so, I am interested and have s few questions. For some reason it is not letting me respond to your marketplace listing where I saw it.
Thanks

Hello. I came across one of your messages a while ago about the Stinger series by Music Machine. I've owned an R8 () since 2003 (or maybe 2004). I read that you might be willing to provide information about specific guitars. Could you share it with me? I'm asking out of personal curiosity; I have no intention of selling the guitar. I just love how it sounds too much. Thank you very much in advance.

Hello. I read an old message where you mentioned having some screenshots of the discussion on historic music machine stingers. Since I own a Stinger R8 (MM 2) from 2003 (or maybe 2004), I'd like to get more information. Could you share those screenshots with me? My email is verittidaniele@hotmail.com. Thank you in advance.
Hello Mat...are we going to see an ebony Les Paul Deluxe added for 2024? I couldn't afford one back in the 80's...now I have some coin that's burning a hole in my pocket...
I'm curious if anyone can tell me what two new Humbuckers and new Les Paul guts I bought in 1972 might be worth ? They have been in a drawer since I brought them. Just wondering what they might be worth now. One brother out there has given me some info, I appreciate it, but I was thinking I'd get a little more from the experts. Anyone who has a idea, and can help, I'd appreciate it. Thanks you guys
Hello! Is your LP still available? I'm curious where the guitar is located as well. Thanks!
Hi Rob , still have your Melody Maker ? I have a 1960 - SC Thinking about trying a Novak - I'm also in the UK. I do quite like this original 'slim' one though ;-) Regards Paul
Hi Pete, I have a set of 1960 double blacks with unopened covers, and a full harness that I will be taking out of my 1960 ES-175. I also have an ABR bridge (with nylon saddles), and knobs. Would that be of interest to you? Regards, Charlie
