Which one gets the Bigsby?

I cannot fight the urge any longer. I need a Bigsby on a Les Paul.

On the left is a newer Custom Shop LP Custom with a maple top and custombuckers - weight is in high 9 pound range.

On the right is an R8 with Burstbuckers and it weighs closer to 9 lbs.

I was originally thinking of adding the Bigsby to the Custom, but now I am more inclined to add it to the R8. No real reason why.

Suggestions?

I’ve tried for way too many years. Good news is that this is completely reversible if it doesn’t pan out. Will use a B7 and Vibramate.

Cool guitars. I have an Ebony R7, and I’m always hankering for a Black Custom!
I’d definitely put the Bigsby on the R8 myself.

With the B7 and the Vibramate, you use the holes that are there already. Nothing new.

Humm ,... I've recently removed it from a std 2001, It was there since 2012 I guess, but I've never loved it so much.
Mostly because it was always between my hand and the volume/tone pots.
Anyway, Unless You're going to also put another the bridge, I'd go for the Custom.
I've noticed that when you use the bar more than just a light tremolo, the bridge also moves a bit consequently, so I'd be scared to use it with an ABR-1.

I put one on my Standard back in 1989 or so. You had to order them C.O.D. from Bigsby back then which was a PITA.

I never regretted it.

let's call it Flamed Silver/Chrome Burst. Yes I love it too. It was an experiment and it came out pretty cool. I had the idea but It's been an italian luthier to actually realize it.

..I don't know if If this may helps You in your choice but consider that a B7 and a Vibramate will add 300 gr.

Yeah if you're on the fence, get a vibramate. Totally reversible no drilling.

I added a USA B7 with a vibramate to my R7 a while back. I didn't like the weight the B7 added so I removed it.
Was cool tho.
