When it broke some pieces of wood flew off and I found most of them. but there were a couple pieces from the back and the front I could not find. Even with that the break line is invisible. I specifically looked for a repaired R8 to refin in Fiesta Red.... saved about $1500 over typical R8 prices.There are a lot of guys who look for clean Historics with headstock breaks who (gasp) want to play them. A property repaired headstock break won't affect playability but will significantly lower market value. Great way for a player to get into an otherwise expensive guitar.
This wont make you feel better, but I watch a lot of gear videos. I can't count the number of big name musicians who own a guitar that didnt have some major repair - headstock included.
