• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Hi fellas, I've got three great historics a '13 R8 , '13 R6 and '14 Nashville 335...........they are all great sounding guitars............ rich tone and spank for days.
However I'm pondering the stopbar/tailpiece and wondering if I could do better other than the stock Gibson part.
Let me know your experiences and thoughts please............. thanks for your input.

Stock part is great, if it's the light-weight alloy version. They all sound the same.

Yep I was looking at old vs new etc last night on youtube and hearing the 'plink' when they're dropped on a solid wood bench.
