• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Holy crap.
I had an opportunity to buy one many years ago...I regret not buying it.
I have no use for such an amp today...dang.
I still want one.
It would pair nicely with my wicker-n-wood MKIII.
I mean...c'mon.
15"...that's 38.1cm.

Does anybody have one?
What's it like?

You're saying that's a 15" speaker in there? Doesn't look any different from my old 100w Boogie in which I had a JBL K120.

I owned that amp from 1976 to 2000...and then, like a dummy, I used it in a trade...

While I wish I still had it, I've subsequently found amps that I do prefer. But as they say...to each his own.

I had a '77 MkIIb with a 15" EV in it....completely amazing amp. It had SRV tones before SRV. Sold it to our bass player on the promise I could buy it back...but he sold it when I was out of pocket. I think about it all the time, but I had three decades with it so ...

Makes my back hurt just looking at it!

Sold my 1985 MkIIc Simul-Class year, it has a 12". Great lead tone, but when set up for that, less great cleans. Needed to be cranked to Boogie, like all early MV amps.
