My wife surprised me and gave me a 30th birthday present in advance!

This is a Gibson Les Paul Special from 2020 and it is the best damn guitar I’ve ever played!

Instead of posting pictures, I made this jam to show off the guitar!

Truth be told, this is my first Gibson and my first Les Paul!

I’ve been playing a Fender Stratocaster for the past 10 years. This Les Paul is a whole other world and I love it!

The chunky neck is so incredibly comfortable and it looks so damn good!

The p90s sound fantastic and I’m over the moon with this guitar!

Where has it been all my life?

Congrats and Happy Birthday. 👏

These are, indeed, excellent guitars.

Beautiful guitar. Is this a custom shop reissue ?

Incidentally, you couldn't have chosen a finer Les Paul than a Special as your first imho.
This single cutaway, all mahogany guitar represents the foundational tone that Gibson have built their solid body legend upon.

For me, the sound of a bridge P90 set in mahogany is a thing of beauty unmatched.
So, before I get completely carried away .. (to late perhaps? ) Let me welcome you to the LPF !

Totally agree, man!
This is a regular Special from the Original collection! The specs are pretty similar to the custom shop version but there are some differences.
it’s just a beautiful guitar!!

I went with a used ('96) double cutaway TV Special. It was made between 96 and 97 discontinued in
98. It was released as a 1959 reissue, despite having an abr-1 bridge..

I went with a double cut as the sound and extra clarity is a better tone contrast to my 92 Standard and R7 gold top.
I play a lot of slide and the upper neck access is a real gift. But above all it players and sounds incredibly dynamic, I couldn't live without P90s in my life. :)

i dig 'em! after wanting one since the mid-80s, when they were going for about $650 for a real '56, i was lucky to get a 2019 model last year from a friend who was selling it to finance a nice acoustic. i jumped on it, and used it the next night at a gig!

Hi guitartomy,
If, for whatever reason I can't bring my battered old AC30 with me, I put my Menatone 'Top Boost In A Can' pedal in my gig bag just in case..
P90s and Vox AC30s are a heavenly match, so come on guitartomy.. Tell us about your Les Paul Special and that lovely AC30.??
