Buzzing noise after installing covers on 57 and 57 plus zebras

Hi folks,

I am having issues with my Gibson Les Paul Classic/2016. About two weeks ago I decided that I wanted chrome/nickel covers for my 57 and 57 plus zebra humbuckers. I bought both covers from Gibson and they fit well. I think I have basic knowledge about electronics but nothing about wiring or fixing guitars. I also know how to solder and how to unscrew screws hehehe. My Gibson has one of those circuit boards where you plugged everything in.

After reading and watching several videos on YouTube about installing covers, I decided that I was going to do it myself. I installed both covers making sure not to pull the wires. I waxed both covers inside of them. I also put tape on my zebras (only on the black part of them). I put the covers on with normal pressure. Then I clamped them and I made sure that they were properly touching the botom part in both of pickups. I solder them making sure I didn't burn anything and then I put them back in my guitar. Despite the change in tone in both of them (I don't mind it) I am having a buzzing noise when I am not touching any metal parts now. I didn't have this problem before installing the covers. I tried my amp on another guitar and there was no noise. I also turned everything off in my music room but the noise is still there.

Any help provided is more than welcome.

Thanks!

Maybe the pickups with the covers are now to close to the strings ? Maybe try lowering the pickups . I would try a half turn on each of the 2 screws of the pickups ( clockwise)

I've noticed that sometimes the screws at the bottom of the pickup are not tight. Maybe yours are loose and allowing things to vibrate internally.
