Just wondering any info on circuitboard pick ups bill Lawrence late 80s good bad Outstanding, any info what was the reason for etc.?
Thanks for a reply once again! There’s a nice standard for sale with these pick ups. Contemplating. PS are you guys a fan of Traynor amps seems to work well with the humbuckers with the green back Celestion or vintage marshals?
Big fan of Traynor. My first real gigging amp was a YBA 1 bought new in '71. I own a mint all original '74 YBA 1 that is almost nos it is so clean. I use a very clean '68 or '69 basketweave 1960A Marshall cab with original greenbacks. Worked for me.Thanks for a reply once again! There’s a nice standard for sale with these pick ups. Bill Lawrence may not be the most famous of the pickup gurus, but he is without doubt one of the most creative pickup designer's we've seen to date.
His wiring solution,(for e.g) to meet the brief Gibson gave him is typical of his approach, and no surprise the pickup sounded great.
Thank you Sol
