• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have a Hiwatt 50 watt 1/2 stack on the other side of the room, among other things!

I got the grill cloth at Tubes & More maybe 10 years ago and have enough for another cab. Originally I was looking for a used BX to make a pseudo 69 stack but now I've collected these others so I will probably sell it if I find another Large Check to match my 74. There are old threads on my amp...

Anyone own any Rock Star/Celebrity Owned and Played Instruments?

Some guy named Skip used to play my 53 LP. Supposedly he was a blues guy out of Chicago but I've given up trying to figure the story out.

My Stacks, which aren't being used much at this time....:( The 2 heads are high end clones I built, JTM45 left and JMP50 68 lead spec right. I do have a 73 Super Lead and a 74 50 watt. Left stack is a 79 on top and 76 bottom, both small check. Right stack is a re-grilled 2000 AX with '78 Black...

You got a ripping deal steal regardless of any alterations for $700! (y)(y) I paid 1200 for a very clean '74 bottom cab.

Heard 2nd hand that one of our members reported passed away - Dan Duntze (bluesforstevie)? Any confirmation of this?

RIP Stevie, really enjoyed your posts! I had a very close friend go the same way and cried for days.

I think that the logo is wrong and should be gone by early 1970. I edited my last post, it was incorrect and too general. Bygone Tones knows his ****

Because of the excess grill cloth left inside the cab at the top. Marshall wasn't usually so sloppy to leave something like that and would have cut it off at the edge of the baffle. Not knocking you, I think it's nice and would have bought it too. (y)

Nice score!(y) Looks re-grilled to me and some of the screws for the speakers replaced with hopefully the correct thread type, British 2BA. https://www.marshallforum.com/threads/screws-and-nuts.75948/

Took Me 45 Years To Get My Dream Guitar!

Yep I'm 62 now and back in 1974 I was a die hard Tonny Iommi and Pete Townshend fan, and wanted a red SG Special like nothing else! Well I never got one but I did pick up a 64 cherry Junior that was and still is a great sounding SG, surprisingly with all of the crappy mods what I've inflected on...

    74 Black Beauty

I've been gassing for a LP Custom for some time and thinking of getting this one locally from CL. It's had a few part changes but I think the price is okay. The add says "knobs and tunners changed. All gold parts chromed but pu's and pots original. No refin or breaks, 2nd owner". It clearly is...

    GTO JMP1987 Rebiuld and Plexi-ized!

:bigal Ah, well...this is my 74 Marshall JMP 50 watt that I got back in about 1980 or so and used throughout the Punk wars in SF, Oakland and Berkeley up till I bowed out in 1995. It didn't have a logo when I got it so I stuck the logo off of my 68 Pontiac GTO that I had wrecked, on it! :yah...

    JTM45 Clone Build

Well this is going to be my second, and most likely last, build of the year. I really need to get my priority's straight!:rofl This one is going to be going slower than my 5E3 build up mostly because it is in the middle of my vacation time from work and it is a much more costly amp to build...
